Cindy Knox is currently the Director for Disability Programs and Services.  Cindy completed her Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Kentucky.  She holds national certification through the Rehabilitation Counseling Certification Commission.  She also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Mental Health/Human Services from Northern Kentucky University.  Cindy is a Certified Master Advisor at NKU.  She has worked in the field of higher education for the past 9 years, and has worked in the field of disability for over 15 years.  Cindy is very passionate about promoting universal design throughout campus, and empowering students toward self-advocacy.  When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young twins.


Angela Zippin, MA

Angela Zippin is the Assistant Director for Disability Programs and Services. Angela completed her Master of Arts in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Cincinnati, where she worked in the Division of Student Affairs for over 5 years. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Women’s Studies from Wright State University. Angela is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusivity. Outside of work, Angela watches a lot of television and likes to spend time with her partner and their cute dog.

Caraline Browning is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with two Bachelor of Science Degrees, Sociology and Interpreter Training.  She is a Nationally Certified Interpreter for the Deaf, NIC, and Licensed in the state of Kentucky, #0294.  Here at NKU she works with our Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students with the goal of providing an equal access education through Sign Language Interpreters and Remote Caption Services.  While working with students, she also provides assistance and support to NKU Faculty and Staff as they communicate information to this specific group of individuals.  When she is not here at NKU she is a loving wife to her husband and mother to her handsome young son.  Aside from her duties as a Coordinator and Interpreter, Caraline is an instructor to those interested in the fascinating language of ASL and mentor to aspiring and working interpreters.
